The Front Desk Specialist performs clerical and reception functions for the Opioid Triage Center Front Office.

Shifts are between: 8:00am - 6:00pm, Monday-Friday

Salary: $17.00/hour

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Answer telephone lines and check messages
  • Check-in and Check-out Patients Accurately and Timely
  • Open Batch and Enter Transactions, Collect Co-pays
  • Check and Run Insurances and Change PCP (Read and Write Chart Notes)
  • Verify Demographic Information at Check-in (Phone, Address, PCP)
  • Understanding of Alerts -How to read, enter and remove
  • Knowledge of Sliding Fee, Waiver form, release of records, and other forms
  • Adding Insurance Cards and Picture to Patient Chart.
  • Responsible for informing and registering patients for patient portal.
  • Obtain all appropriate signatures for patient forms.

Experience and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to multitask in a high-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and compassionate when working with clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with other professionals and maintain appropriate boundaries.
  • Sensitivity to diversity issues and a commitment to cultural competency.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Portuguese) preferred.
