The Junior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records by performing day-to-day general accounting tasks such as entering cash receipts, vouchering accounts payable, processing bi-weekly payroll and miscellaneous other accounting duties as necessary, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, as well as providing essential support to the finance department.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Record daily deposits and maintenance of Accounts Receivable
  • Assist Payroll Manager with all aspects of payroll processing.
  • Troubleshooting to resolve discrepancies and other payroll issues.
  • Maintenance of payroll schedules including but not limited to biweekly payroll, accrued insurance schedules, accrued salaries and vacation schedules
  • Assist with the operations of Accounts Payable.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Timely completes annual trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • High School/GED required, college degree preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in accounting or related field
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Analysis and reporting of financial data
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skill
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
