The Inpatient Admissions Supervisor provides
operational and administrative oversight of the inpatient admissions
process for ATS and CSS programs. This role ensures that admissions
are coordinated efficiently, safely, and in compliance with agency
policies, regulatory standards, and payer requirements.
Shifts: 1st shift with some evenings, to include
rotating weekends. This is a full-time, 40-hour/week opportunity.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily admissions operations for ATS and CSS programs.
- Ensure timely response to referrals and efficient coordination of admissions.
- Monitor bed availability, waiting lists, and census trends to
support optimal program utilization.
- Collaborate with nursing, clinical teams, utilization review, and
program leadership to address admission barriers and ensure
appropriate placements.
- Supervise and support the Inpatient Admissions Coordinator and
other assigned staff, including coaching, training, performance
management, and coordination of workloads.
- Participate in hiring activities including interviewing and
onboarding staff, and provide ongoing training and competency development.
- Uphold SSTAR’s admissions standards, agreements, and expectations
related to referral management and intake processes.
- Develop, maintain, and track relationships with community referral
sources to support program access and continuity of care.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory expectations and
insurance considerations related to admissions.
- Ensure admissions decisions align with current BSAS regulations,
patient eligibility criteria, and payer/insurance requirements.
- Maintain awareness of current admissions workflows and trends
within the field to improve patient access and operational efficiency.
- Resolve complex, non-routine, or escalated issues related to
admissions, records, or patient access.
- Track admissions data and participate in quality improvement
initiatives to improve access, operational efficiency, and patient flow.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social services or similar discipline, preferred.
- Significant experience in an inpatient substance use disorder
treatment setting preferred.
- Exceptional communication, customer service, interpersonal,
organizational, and problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a
multidisciplinary team.
HOURLY WAGE RANGE: $24-$27/hour
