Job Description:

The Community Support program at SSTAR is looking for a full-time Recovery Coach to work with clients who are early in recovery. Applicant should have a strong desire to help those affected by substance use disorders and mental health disorders. A broad knowledge of 12 step programs and Medicated Assisted Therapy is essential. Recovery Coach certification preferred. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., must be flexible.  Rate of pay is $17.50 with the possibility of a production bonus monthly.

  1. Recovery Coaches meet with client face to face
  2. Complete Wellness Plan with client
  3. Assist client with treatment needs
  4. Recovery Coashes transport client to necessary treatment facilities
  5. Arrange referrals for services when needed
  6. The Recovery Coash will coordinate care with inpatient staff and staff of aftercare facilities
  7. Provide whatever assistance needed to keep client engaged in treatment
  8. Document all services
  9. Participate in program meetings and supervision sessions
  10. Utilize Arise model with clients and their families when applicable

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications
  1. Available to respond by phone or in person after business hours
  2. Must have own transportation
  3. Strong evidence of effectiveness in engaging clients
  4. Solid knowledge of Sstar services as well as community resources
  5. Certification in Addiction counseling preferred
  6. Certification in Arise Interventions preferred
  7. Recovery Coach training desirable; lived experience may be substituted for academic credential
