Job Description:

SSTAR is seeking a full time expressive arts therapist for our EPHP- Enhanced Partial Hospital Program.  Looking for a team player, who enjoys working with adults with dual diagnosis issues in group and individual therapy.  Must have group experience with dual dx population, and prefer DBT training or at least interest.  We use a DBT focused treatment model and you would be expected to offer Expressive Therapy groups focused on DBT principles.  Interested candidates, please fill out application and contact JSanders@sstar.org for more information.  Will provide supervision from an LICSW towards licensure, if needed.

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in planning of new PHP at SSTAR with team.
  2. Provide comprehensive assessments to clients being referred to SSTAR.
  3. Provide daily expressive arts groups to help facilitate treatment goals.
  4. Facilitate other groups as necessary for daily treatment, DBT, morning mindfulness, check out group, etc.
  5. Provide individual therapy and case management as necessary to facilitate discharge planning.
  6. Participate in daily team meetings.
  7. Process insurance renewals or extensions for treatment of your assigned caseload as necessary. (no more than 5)
  8. Participate in client milieu to model positive relationships.
  9. Manage crisis effectively.
  10. Responsible for ordering supplies as necessary for groups and staying within monthly budget for same
  11. Supervise interns as schedule allows.

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a Masters level Clinician, with preferred independent licensure.
  2. At least 2 years of clinical experience with co-occurring population
  3. Familiar with DBT skills practice and willingness to become part of DBT consultation team.
  4. Flexible and responsive to changing needs of new program.
  5. Ability to work independently and seek supervision as necessary from team.

Job Benefits:

Base salary is 60,000 for non _licensed with Masters, and 68, 000 for LMHC or LICSW.
