Job Description:


SSTAR is located in Fall River, MA.  We at SSTAR are proud to have blazed a trail providing integrated behavioral health and primary health care

Recruits and supervises staff, coordinates activities related to SAMHSA’s CMHC grant including reporting, planning, oversees the client enrollment process and data collection working with the project evaluator to ensure that all data and follow up activities comply with SAMHSA standards.

Specific Responsibilities

  1. Supervise the staff and nursing coordinators, the assessment and referral component, and all support functions.
  2. Responsible for planning and coordination of programs.
  3. Make hiring decisions for all program staff.
  4. Help coordinate necessary administrative support from SSTAR.
  5. Ensure that the programs are adequately prepared for monitoring and licensing visits.
  6. Serve as a member of the agency’s Leadership Team.
  7. Develop and monitor QA/UR plan for program services and represent program services on the agency’s Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Committees.
  8. Participate in budget planning for programs.
  9. Represent the agency at meetings of various professional organizations, and at State agency meetings.
  10. Identify problems related to maintenance and security and arrange for their resolution.
  11. Ensure compliance with state regulations affecting programs. Participate in fulfillment of MHRH contract requirements.
  12. Represent agency at meetings of community agencies when issues related services are being discussed.
  13. Respond to various grant opportunities with consultation from upper management.

Experience and Skills:


Minimum of three years supervisory experience, preferably in an inpatient setting. Demonstrated administrative skills; considerable knowledge of chemical dependency and mental health treatment; familiarity with Quality Assurance/Utilization Review.
