Job Description:

SSTAR is located in Fall River, MA.  We at SSTAR are proud to have blazed a trail providing integrated behavioral health and primary health care

Support in Recovery, Network Support Facilitation, Care Coordination.

Specific Responsibilities

  1. Meet with client face to face
  2. Create and Enact wellness plan identified by client
  3. Provide emotional and social support
  4. Empower client through coaching and mentoring techniques
  5. Assist client with recovery-supportive relationships
  6. Connect client with recovery community
  7. Act as role model and a recovery liaison
  8. Provide meaningful links to treatment, recovery support services, and mutual aid
  9. Deliver mobile services to client (home, treatment facility, diversionary unit)
  10. Assist client with transportation needs
  11. Arrange referrals for services when needed
  12. Coordinate care with inpatient staff , aftercare facilities, and community partners
  13. Provide linguistically appropriate and culturally sensitive recovery support navigation
  14. Provide whatever assistance needed to keep client engaged in treatment
  15. Document all services in HER; Administers GPRA
  16. Participate in program meetings and supervision sessions
  17. Utilize Arise model with clients and their families when applicable

Experience and Skills:


  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Lived experience in Recovery, with at least 2 years of continuous of sobriety
  3. Available to respond by phone or in person after business hours
  4. Must have own transportation
  5. Strong evidence of effectiveness in engaging clients
  6. Solid knowledge of SSTAR services as well as community resources
  7. Recovery Coach Training (must be EOHHS approved)
  8. At least 2 years continuous sobriety is required for people in recovery from drugs and alcohol
