Job Description:

Provide comprehensive assessments and treatment recommendations for adults with co-occurring disorders within a PHP model of care. Lead a multi-disciplinary team towards shared philosophy of recovery.

  • Provide direct psychiatry services for admission, medication management and discharge for each client admitted/and or review and approve Clinical Nurse Specialist assessment within 24 hours of admission.
  • Collaborate with Program Director regarding integration of various assessments of client needs and strengths into a coherent narrative that can be used for treatment planning.
  • Assist in the development and utilization of the PHP’s unifying theory of treatment to guide its mission, vision and practice.
  • Assist in the development of therapeutic programming
  • Ensure that programs remain family/client centered.
  • Provide teaching, training and coaching with multi-disciplinary team
  • Provide oversight and supervision of the Clinical Nurse specialist assigned to treatment team on a weekly basis.
  • Participate in multi- disciplinary team meetings at least weekly.
  • Facilitate at least one treatment group weekly.

Experience and Skills:

Board Certified in Psychiatry or will meet this requirement within 2 years.

Strong collaborator that has experience guiding a team of professionals towards shared philosophy of recovery.

Proficient in utilizing an Electronic Health Record for timely documentation.

Experience treating adults with co-occurring disorders and comfortable with prescribing MAT as necessary.

Be available at least 3 days a week for on site care and available by phone as needed for consultation on days not in the office. (Monday-Friday) 8-4.
